Who are the DACA Dreamers Youtube Video - MUST SEE!

More than 80% of Americans agree, Congress is broken. For years our legislators have left the hard work of lawmaking undone and allowed the Executive Branch to accumulate power, creating laws by Executive Order and agency rules. Now that strategy leaves many programs we count on vulnerable. DACA is just the latest program targeted by the cruel short-sightedness of the Trump Administration. But Trump couldn't target DREAMers today if Congress had done their job.

We need a Brand New Congress who will actually work for the people. Brand New Congress stands by our DREAMers, and our candidates will fight for a swift and secure roadmap to citizenship for all undocumented immigrants. Help us build the largest grassroots campaign in American history. Help us take back Congress.

Miami Bloodlust - The White Lily Society

FREE Kindle Book - Vampire Novel Political Thriller Amazon Kindle - Miami Bloodlust - The White Lily Society

When the President of the United States is a demonic bloodsucking Immortal, it is up to college coed Mara and the mysterious White Lily Society to defeat the most powerful vampire on earth. But when Mara and her twin sister Peyton find themselves in danger, the sister find out that to save the world they must lose their souls!

"An intriguing vampire political thriller."

Richard's arms encircled Anna, wedging her between his body and a cluttered desk.
“Well, you're just going to have to make it up to me.”
“Hell, no!”
She shoved him, hard. He staggered and fell backwards, his skull making a sickening CRACK against the corner of a metal desk. The room was dark, Anna couldn't see if he was alive, but as she walked towards the fallen man, her stockinged feet felt the wetness of blood between her toes...cold blood.

Thank goodness no one else would be at the office for several hours.

Light footprints in blood from the body to her desk stained the carpet. She grabbed some Windex and a Kleenex, and crouched down, scrubbing frantically at red splotches.
Anna didn't hear a quiet scuffling behind her, where the body lay.
She felt a slight breeze against her bare neck, but ignored it, intent on removing any evidence that she had been near the body that night.
Strong hands grasped her shoulders, spinning her around then flat on her back on the blood stains.

Richard wasn't dead!

A slight putrid smell, like a thousand-year-old corpse, wafted about her nostrils. Anna held in vomit.
Her face paled as his face contorted into pure evil. His lips snarled. Sharp teeth grew slowly from his bleeding gums, like Michael Jackson's did in Thriller. But this wasn't a makeup job, this was real. His eyes grew crazed, his grip stronger, as he ripped her blouse, exposing sweating pale flesh.
She screamed once before blood and pain and fear robbed her of consciousness.

Miami Bloodlust is the first book in the dark fantasy series The White Lily Society, a precursor to the dystopian Libertaria Chronicles series.

WHAT FANS ARE SAYING ABOUT LIBERTARIA: GENESIS, BOOK 1 IN THE LIBERTARIA CHRONICLES

“Young has created a convincing world...a dark dystopian future for you to get lost in. The characters are complex, flawed, and human, and you are never sure what they will do next.”

“This book is dystopia squared. It's not and shouldn't be a quick read. It's complex and jumps around a lot. which is what good dystopia is supposed to be. To me, Libertaria is like a code that has to be broken. Like taking on a second language.”

“This book blew my mind with its creativity and vivid action. Who's good and who's bad? A truly original read. It made me think of one of my favorite books ever, Terra terra! by Stefano Benni. Give it a chance!”

Available now at Amazon and Amazon Kindle.

In Memoriam: The Centrist would like to Remember the GOP Candidates of 2016

In Memoriam: The Centrist would like to

Remember the GOP Candidates of 2016

After the recent Iowa caucus results, the Centrist would like to give condolences to the many GOP candidates that thought that they had a chance, like really, really, really, had a chance of making it this election cycle.

So goodbye Mr. Paul and Mr. Bush, who could not live up to the legacy of their fathers.

Goodbye dearest CEO Fiorina whose feisty diatribes against Hillary were both endearing and annoying.

Goodbye to Kasich who tried to bridge the gap but didn't do much because he never got enough time.

Speaking of bridges, goodbye to Mr. Christie.

Goodbye to Huckabee and Santorum...and wait...who was that on the bottom there? Gilmore? Was that guy running?

We will remember you well...the GOP Candidates of 2016. Yet again, most of you were so very forgettable...

What were we doing again?

5 Reasons Why What You Know about Latino Voters is All Wrong #Trump

PHOTO: blogsouthwest.com
I am here to enlighten some folks, mainly those running for president, about the Latino voter. This year, the year of the GOP circus and the march of the white-haired Dem Boomers, there has been a lot said about Latinos in our country. From anchor babies to welfare recipients to Clinton's condescending comparison to my abuela, it is easy to see that almost every presidential candidate has about zero knowledge about the Latino voter.

1. Latinos are not monolithic voters

What this means is that we don't all vote D or R on election day. (Oh, and yes we are voting legally for those who still think that Latino means illegal). The Mexican block usually votes Democrat and the Cubanos usually vote Republican, but the rest are a toss-up, and even those voting blocks are not secure.

2. We are listening and we are watching

Not meaning to be creepy, but Latino voters are sometimes obsessed with politics. When you grow up in a home of a Cuban exile or someone that has escape political persecution in Central America, you are going to care about who is running the country. And we are listening to your talk about anchor babies and illegals and about big walls. We are also watching as this Democratic president talks about equality while beating out any other president for the number of deportations.

3. No one represents us

This is true, even with GOP candidates running two top-notch Latino Republican candidates and one defacto one (Jeb Bush) whose Latino ties in Florida are personal. And the Democrats are about to make a big mistake, assuming that throwing in a Latino VP will make up for the poor choices Dems had this year (or no choice really) as Queen Hillary gets ready for her coronation. Latino voters won't vote for a Latino candidate just because they are Latino any more than women did not vote GOP because Palin was out there smiling next to McCain

4. We are passionate and angry

Yep. Add Latinos to the list of fed-up voters. No matter which side of the aisle, Latinos are tired of being ignored. Immigration has left our friends and families in limbo in the legal immigration system, nothing to say of the terrible mess that is illegal immigration. We also don't appreciate the vitriolic talk about illegals, lumping violent drug lords with child refugees. We can tell the difference between the two, and you should, too, even if they are all brown in your eyes.

5. We will matter in 2016

Latinos are going to matter in this election like they have in the past two elections. So while Trumpmania has taken over the mainstream media, the reality is that the Latino vote is younger and more diverse, and very active. So when you applaud hateful rhetoric about my hermanos and hermanas, even if don't like the politics, I won't like you. And I won't vote for you.

So I hope that each presidential candidate really, really listens to what is happening out there in the Latino vote, and the female vote, and the Millennial vote, and the senior citizen vote, and the poor vote, and the African-American vote...because we are fabric of the USA and we are watching.
